Fifth AGM and 2nd IMB Concluded

Kota Bharu, MALAYSIA P1000210_2 The fifth edition of Asian Federation of Muslim Youth (AFMY) AGM and the second International Muslim Business Forum was successfully concluded in Kelantan, Malaysia. Both events, jointly organized by AFMY and Kelantan state government was held at the New Pacific Hotel, Kota Bharu, Kelantan.

AFMY's AGM which started on Friday, July 20 P1000146 witnessed the participation from youth organizations from Bangladesh, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, Sri Lanka and Singapore.

Among the matters discussed were the need for Muslim youth organizations to unite for the betterment of the Ummah in the Asian region and globally.

In his opening remarks, Dato' Ustaz Abu Bakar Chik (AFMY's chairman) reminded the delegates on the challenges facing the ummah. Hence, youth organizations need to understand the real problem faced today, with sound and practical solutions.

He further added that solutions to these problems nevertheless can be better implemented in a collective and united in nature. Collective and united efforts will deliver better results.

IMB'2007

P1000106 IMB'2007 saw bigger turn out compared to last year. Several working papers and presentations were delivered by international speakers at the event which was officiated by the Honorable Chief Minister of Kelantan, Dato' Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat. Among the speakers were the Director of Arab Asian Trade, Mr. Muhammad Marwan Fattal.

This year's edition saw a significant number of international participants, P1000121_2 including from mainland China. The exhibition hall showcased Kelantan products, P1000091 ranging from the batik line to food products. IMB'2007, under the patronage of the Honorable Zulkifli Mamat also saw several Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on the last day.

When met at the sideline of the MoU event, the Program Director IMB'2007, Hj. Wan Ismail expressed his hope that IMB can position Kelantan as an international business destination, apart from creating an extensive business network than can benefit Muslim businesses.

I went through your site, good & well organized but I could not find out staff detail or director board's detail with thier photos and all. Please do that it may increase contacts.
